Meet Mr. Zabian
Hello Parents,
I am Mr. Zabian and I will be the Grade 6 teacher. I am looking forward to a great year with the grade 6 students as we dive into learning together. I received my Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Windsor, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree. I also carry additional qualifications in Special Education, English as a Second Language and a Principles degree .
My teaching style is a hands-on approach with active learning through the use of centers and math stations. I try to make learning as fun as possible to keep students focused and on task. I allow students to take on responsibilities that help them grow and that help them achieve the confidence they need to succeed. I believe that a strong home and school connection will assist your child in being the best he/she can be in sixth grade. I will make it a priority to instill into the students a love for math and science because I believe that I can teach students any lesson, but if I teach students to learn by creating curiosity, the students will continue the learning for as long as they live. Most importantly, I want the students to have a fun experience, to feel success and to love learning and love school.
I love teaching. I especially love teaching young children who find excitement in all the new things that they learn. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know all the sixth grade students and their parents. I am hopeful that by working together we will help the students excel in learning and guide them towards a successful year hear at Al Hijra, as well as in their futures.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have at my email [email protected]
